MEMBRANE INTEGRITY, AUTOPSY
Membranes have been widely used for water and wastewater treatment. Various solids are accumulated on the membrane surfaces during the operations. As wastewater from different streams is recycled, the membrane filtration unit may fail to perform due to scaling or fouling. Analysis of accumulated solid deposits taken from the membrane surfaces could explain the causes of failures, which may occur in the future.
Fouled membranes could be recovered based on autopsy results and plant performance could be improved significantly. Our research and development is capable of carrying out membrane integrity tests and autopsies. The results from these tests have benefited our customers at multiple locations.
